"What might happen if Lou Reed and H. P. Lovecraft met in a pub one dark and gloomy night and decided to form a band. Some of the most hauntingly-poetic lyrics ever to grace a debut - or for that matter, platinum - album." (Music4M)

DearDarkHead

A trio based in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area consisting of: guitarist Kevin Harrington, drummer Robert Weiss and bassist Kevin McCauley, who came on board during the fall of 2010 after the departure of longtime singer/bassist Michael Amper. Currently they are performing all instrumental shows but are seeking the right person to take over on vocals.

The group’s sound is openly and proudly Anglophilic, combining both elements of the blissout shoegazer scene and a slightly older vein of post-punk guitar experimentalism, making a rich combination between the two influences. Words like atmospheric, ethereal and dreampop are often used to describe their original guitar driven, psychedelic storm of sound that balances moody textures and shimmering melodies.

To the wedding

Layering elements of psych, shoegaze, and ambient over Boston’s traditional garage-rock template. Creating something new while still retaining what I consider to be the essential characteristics of (i) sounding great on headphones when listening in the library and (ii) sounding even better when played loudly, on a stereo at a party or live in a bar. Making music, that is, for people who like to think but love to rock

The Tweeds

Emerged out of the Main Line of Philadelphia’s suburbs and the campus of Penn State University. Coming together after line-up changes and band mergers The Tweeds create a sound akin to such greats as Ghosts and Vodka, My Bloody Valentine and The Beatles: dancey gaze-pop to Psychedelic Drone rock with soaring vocal harmonies that will hypnotize the ear of the musician and everyday music fan alike. The Tweeds recorded and released their first full length album Goliath in April 2011 and were named the Philadelphia and National Artist of the month for The Deli Magazine in May 2011. With the current Deli and indie blogosphere buzz, the band is making strides to establish themselves along the east coast with upcoming tour plans and more recording projects. In fact, they are currently working on their sophomore album with Kyle “Slick” Johnson (Wavves – King of the Beach) at Fancy Time Studios in Philly.

Soon available through Amazon as well. This Berlin band plays sonically charged shoegaze indiepop

IHNMAIMS stole their band name from a dystop

ian short story by American SF author Harlan

Ellison. A nightmarish scenario in which a small

group of survivors of a nuclear war are tortured

by an omnipotent supercomputer, with no

chance of escape.

Based in Berlin, the band consists of Everett

Darling (bass, vocals), Theo Rahkun (drums),

Susanna Trotta (keys, percussion, vocals) and

Bastian Stein (guitar, vocals).

Musical influences include The Cure, My

Bloody Valentine, The Wipers and Joy

Division, as well as fellow Berlin shoegaze /

psychedelic rock bands like The History of Colour TV and Strange Forces.

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream have released a self-titled 6-track EP in March 2012. It

was self-produced by the band in their tiny 12m rehearsal space. Mixed by Jaike Stambach of

The History of Colour TV. Cover artwork by Tobias Sawitzki of the band Velochrome.

Welcome TORPEDO TEARDROPS to the Patetico family

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

TORPEDO TEARDROPS are a band created from the New Orleans, LA underground. The seedy and humid streets of the music city seep into the sounds of the band known as TORPEDO TEARDROPS. Although they have not followed suit with the musical quest of NOLA luminaries such as: The Neville Brothers , Dr. John or Galactic. The band has chosen to follow the path set forth by their influences such as FLEETWOOD MAC and ethereal... pop/rockmeisters (if you can categorize their sound?) COCTEAU TWINS with the Fuzz of THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN.

Lead singer Lammie Teardrop has been a longtime fan of Siouxsie and the Banshees and and the vocal timidness of Kim Deal (The Pixies). Her along with guitarist and principle songwriter FUZZY TEARDROP have created their own personal plain of musical chaotic beauty!!

Stacie is from Texas. Matt is from Adelaide.

The Dunes played their first ever gig in early April 2011 and have been playing solid ever since - winning over audiences with their atmospheric soundscapes and songs evoking the dreaminess of Mazzy Star and the dusty haze of Calexico.

The Dunes released their debut single 'Going Under' in July 2011 with seperate launches in Adelaide and Melbourne, Australia.
